The bet
Voice matching is the product.
Everything else is scaffolding.
QuillBot has seven paraphrase modes. Grammarly has a writing assistant. Both are useful. Neither rewrites into a voice that sounds like a specific person. Penshift does — paste a writing sample, we mirror its sentence rhythm, vocabulary level, and idiosyncrasies.
Around that one capability we built the rest of the workbench: paraphraser with nine modes, a humaniser that strips obvious AI tells, an AI detector with a model-judged verdict, plagiarism check, grammar fix, summariser, and 13-language translation. Seven tools, one sign-in, one sidebar — instead of seven browser tabs.
Where we are
Early-stage. Shipping weekly.
Listening hard.
Penshift LTD is a private limited company registered in England and Wales. The product is early — caps are conservative on purpose, the workbench gets a new feature or fix most weeks, and the roadmap tracks what users tell us they want next.
If you're evaluating Penshift for a team, want a higher cap, found a bug, or have an opinion — email hello@penshift.com. We read every message and reply within a day or two.
